Our Team

Meet Arvi

I began my career in the beauty industry in 1986 as an aesthetician in New Delhi, India, where I opened my first salon, before moving to Canada in 1991 to complete a full hairdressing program in British Columbia. After gaining experience at several local salons, I combined my skills in both aesthetics and hairdressing to open Arvi’s Salon in 1995—a business that continues to thrive in the same location today.

Over the years, I have expanded my expertise as a Dermalogica-certified skin specialist and through advanced certifications in laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, and photo facials. One of my proudest accomplishments has been being the first Indo-Canadian woman to open a salon in Abbotsford and to introduce threading as a service to the community.

I am also honored to have been nominated numerous times for the Business Excellence Awards and Consumer Choice Awards – achievements that are only possible because of the amazing Abbotsford community that has continued to support me since 1995. Outside of my work, I enjoy hiking, gardening, singing, traveling, and spending time with my children and grandchildren.

Meet Ashley

I began my career in the beauty industry after graduating with ITEC certification from hairdressing school in 2012, the same year I joined my mother, Arvi, in building our family-run salon.

While I still went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Communications from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2017, I ultimately chose to follow my true passion in hairdressing and aesthetics and commit to the beauty industry.

Over the years, I have continued to expand my expertise, becoming a Dermalogica-certified skin specialist and earning certifications in laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, and photo facials. Beyond my professional work, I’ve had the opportunity to explore unique experiences such as appearing in a high-profile music video in 2013 and competing in the Miss BC pageant in 2014.

My personal interests include DIY crafting, cooking, travelling, dancing, and fitness, all of which inspire my creativity inside and outside the salon. Above all, my proudest accomplishment will be carrying forward my mother’s legacy by maintaining Arvi’s Salon as a trusted and enduring pillar in our community for years to come.
